Botox doesn’t accumulate within your body, so yes you can continue to receive anti-wrinkle injections. It’s a good idea to wait 12 to 16 weeks between treatments. Furthermore, it’s safe to receive injections in the same areas. You can also have injections done in different areas during the same session.

Your muscles will go back to functioning the way they did before being injected with Botox. Your wrinkle will start to appear, but it will occur over a period of time. No new wrinkles so begin to appear.

Yes, but you should wait for an hour or two before applying makeup. Mineral makeup can be applied right after treatment, but make sure you do not apply a lot of pressure while applying your makeup. You do not want the treatment to disperse from the area that was treated.

Yes, you can fly right after receiving your injections. Most people shouldn’t experience any side effects as a result of flying. This is regardless of cabin pressure or changes in altitude.

Botox is safe, so it should not have any effect on your sleeping pattern or routine. However, it is very important to make sure you don’t apply pressure on the affected area. If you sleep right after receiving Botox, then avoid laying on your front for at least four hours. After four hours have passed, you can lay in whatever position you want.

Aftercare FAQ's

Botox® is a safe procedure that doesn’t have much impact on someone’s usual activity, regardless if it’s the day of the injection or days after the injection. Here at Bromley Aesthetics, we deliver small injections to the targeted area, and this results in excessive movement. As time goes by, the movements create dynamic wrinkles.

However, we do recommend doing these things after you have gotten the procedure:

  • Do not rub or massage the affected area for at least four hours after the procedure
  • Do not engage in strenuous exercise for 24 hours
  • Remain upright for four hours
  • Do not wear tightly fitted headwear
  • Try no to consume excessive amounts of alcohol or use blood-thinning medication before you undergo the procedure

Generally speaking, you can engage in your normal activities right after the treatment. However, you should only do light exercising after four hours of receiving the treatment. We recommend avoiding all strenuous activities for at least 24 hours.

After four hours have passed, you can do exercises such as: Jogging, Walking, Gardening, Upright yoga

You should avoid doing the following for at least 24 hours:  Long-distance running, Weight training, Yoga (other than upright yoga), Cross-training

Usually there are no side effects. Everyone is different, which means sometimes a person might experience minor side effects. These side effects include:

  • Bumps- After a few minutes following treatment, small bumps might appear. However, they disappear rather quickly.
  • Bruising- Some people might experience minor bruising. The majority of patients don’t experience this.
  • Headaches- Allergic reactions to Botox are rare. However, some people might experience a temporary headache shortly after receiving the injection. Many patients describe these headaches as minor. Generally speaking, most headaches can be treated with over-the-counter painkillers.

It’s recommended to wait at least 24 hours after treatment. Alcohol can thin the blood. Consuming alcohol shortly after treatment may put you at risk of bruising.

Side effects of Botox® are rare, but if you have any questions at all, then ask your practitioner. They can help you if you experience minor side effects. This includes side effects such as headaches and bruising.

Yes, you are allowed to do this. You can wash your face and perform your normal skincare regimen. However, you should wait four hours after treatment before you massage or rub your face.

Some people report long-lasting results. For most, the results last for up to 16 weeks. The average is 12 to 16 weeks, according to scientific evidence.
